Our Story
Our story doesn't begin with a website. It begins with a humble, unnamed stall at the legendary Daryaganj Sunday Book Market in Delhi -- one of India's oldest and best-loved gathering places for people who love books.
That stall found its first name: Sharma Book Service. Week after week, the same faces returned -- readers who trusted us to know exactly what they'd love next.
We became International Book Service. There was no pause in the journey -- every single Sunday, we were at Daryaganj, serving book lovers the same way we always had, a tradition we carried on in person right up until just a few years ago.
On July 25, 2018, we took our first steps online as BuySecondHandBook.com. Our first digital order went out the door on August 2, 2018 -- and we haven't stopped since.
